If you want glowing, youthful skin, it does not have to be very difficult or expensive You just need to start taking care of your body and your mind. 

Here are eight tips that will help you maintain that healthy supple epidermis, no matter what your age.

1. Drink Lots of Water

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drinking lots of water is cited by many ageless beauties as their secret fountain of youth. Everyone from Zendaya to Kim Kardashian swears by water as their beauty secret.

If you drink between six and eight glasses of water a day, that H2O will flush out the toxins from your body. That detoxification will help reduce fine lines and wrinkles by keeping your skin supple and elastic.

Staying hydrated helps not just your skin but your hair, nails, digestion, and bones. It can help you lose weight because it keeps you full. Just stay close to the lady's room! 

2. Go Organic 

By ridding your life of unnecessary chemicals and processed products, you will be amazed by how the years will drop off of your face and body.

When you choose to use products that are cruelty-free and made from only the most organic ingredients,  your skin will come alive. Your pores will be able to breathe, and your entire body will detox from all of the synthetic materials that you may have consumed and worn for decades. 

Men and women can have bad reactions to chemicals in their cosmetics and skin products. You may have gotten a rash or broken out from makeup or soap with a lot of harsh ingredients in it.

Organic products are easier to rinse off, and they will not add toxic chemicals to the environment. You will feel better and look better when you know you are reducing your footprint on Mother Earth and staying close to nature.

3. Stay Out of the Sun 

It may feel good to lay on the beach, soaking up golden rays. It may look great to have a tan. It may even give you some nutrients like Vitamin D.

However, the consensus is that prolonged exposure to the UV rays in the sunshine will damage your skin. Tanning beds are even worse!

You are far more likely to get wrinkles sooner in life if you have gotten many sunburns as a child. You are also more likely to develop melanoma and other forms of skin cancer, which can be fatal. 

If you really want to maintain your youthful face, always wear sunscreen. Wear a hat as well.

You can always get a sunny glow from some organic bronzer. It might even save your life.

4. Don't Smoke! 

Smoking is another habit which can add years to your skin. You will notice that older women who have smoked in their lives will have lots of lines around their mouths,  from so many drags on those tobacco sticks. 

Smoking will dehydrate you and deplete your body of the nutrients your skin needs to stay looking young. 

It also can be deadly, causing heart disease, cancer, and emphysema.

Stay alive longer with a healthy lifestyle. Your skin-  and all the rest of you-  will thank you! 

5. Have a Clean Conscience 

Your outsides reflect your insides. Not only will an unhealthy diet and lifestyle show up on your face, so will an unhappy mind.

If you care about the planet and all of its inhabitants, you want to endorse products that share your values. You want to put your money where your mouth is by purchasing products that are good to the earth.

If these ideals ring true to you, you should consider a vegan lifestyle. By only eating plant-based food, and selecting products made without animal cruelty, you will not only look and feel great. You will be doing your part to ensure a better future. 

6. Exercise 

Get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Start each morning with an invigorating run, a yoga stretch, or a relaxing swim.

Exercise is another common factor cited by people who look half their age. It is their secret for staying and looking vital.

Staying fit through exercise also releases endorphins which improve your mood. It can alleviate depression and stabilize moods.

You will notice that after a good workout, your skin will glow like it did when you were a teenager. Isn't that a great reason to take up this healthy habit? 

7. Reduce Stress 

Stress can wreak havoc on your skin. You may break out in pimples when you are worried about a big exam. You may furrow your brow so much that over time, the lines remain. 

Everyone has stress in their life, but the key is finding ways to manage it. Don't let it sap your energy and drain your youth.

Yoga and meditation can help center your energies and relieve stress and anxiety. Some people choose a spiritual practice which grounds them.

Turn off your phone sometimes, and take a day off once in a while. Your psyche and your skin will be better off for it.

8. Sleep 

Another universal secret to youthful skin is a good night's sleep. If you can average eight hours a night, you will definitely see an improvement in your face. You will have reduced bags under your eyes, and a more dewy complexion.

If you can't always manage eight hours of slumber, try to find at least one day a week to sleep in. Let your partner take the baby one morning, so you can really catch up on those Zzs.
